how to differentiate btw low and high compression engines

Dear Guys,

Hi just a quick question how can I differentiate on my Disco I LR, 2 doors sport A/T 1996 model if it has a low compression engine or a high compression engine

It should be stamped on the engine near where the engine number is located - well it is on my rangie - only assume its the same
