Troopy Owners -

Post by bogged »

(from another forum)

Received a letter from the R T A NSW on friday, re heavy vehicle inspection changes(whats this got to do with me i thinks)

All troopies registered as 11 seaters are now required to have additional inspections at an additional cost and are now classified as heavy veh/bus.

There are lots of troopies out there that have their seats removed, so where do we all stand?? I lined up at the office with the other 150 odd customers on Saturday morning finally told that if you have the seats out and it is nolonger a 11 seater the classification of the vehicle needs to be changed before the next renewal. Now that involved the following
1. Obtain a engineers certificate re classification change (for me a 2 seater.
2. Obtain a Blue slip (NSW people know what i mean)
3. Your normal green slip etc

Blooby hell I'm unhappy about all this I wonder what they will change next...No bullbars in the city!!! I wonder what it costs for an engineers report???
HAPPY NEW YEAR (maybe)

Will GQ's be next??? with the 7 seater?

You need a blue slip too??? What a shitfight.
