just finished putting in a new 2l engine into my hilux went to move it and ive got no clutch
what could it be?

sorry for being a smart arse but might need some more info.
Like how about telling us what you have checked so far? Did you disconnect any of the clutch hydraulics during the swap? If so did you bleed the system? Is there even any fluid in the clutch resevoir? Does the push rod on the slave move when you push the clutch? etc.

Yep the friction surface is the same. The problem is the clutch plate springs hit the crank bolts now days.
