has anyone, installed a twin tranfer set up, useing two sierra cases??
i know it can be done with GQ's etc, but could it be done with two zooks?
also what would be the Pros and Cons of doing this?

Does this mean you need two twin stick kits

you will be doing 4500rmp on 31 in 5th at 100 on wt gears. don't know how short your drive shaft will be in a shorty but you will end up with a very steep angle.what diffs are you going to run. if you are still going to use lux diffs your rpm will be through the roof. a much better & easier idea would be to swap your your wt diffs for my s1 transfer

use some 4.3 lux diffs & you will be doing 3750rpm @ 100ks on 33s & will have a crawl ratio of 64:1
ahh perfect

I think the general concensus is it's alot (ALOT) easier to go some reduction gears...
Otherwise, some have been known to mate a 1.3 Sierra case to the back of a 1.6 vitara transfer.
If you had a 1.6 with gearbox it may make it a bit easier?

The stock t-case of a LJ80 fits right between the gearbox and the Sierra t-case instead of the short shaft. The LJ case has the input on top and output front and rear centered under the input shaft
I have one laying around here and might put it into my Zuk when I find the time. Another plus of this setup is that you have a free flange to run a front PTO of, i.e. hydro pump

i've built one with a sierra case matched to a vitara case. its been goin strong ever since it was done, and the gearing is sweet in my vitara with lux diffs, but i dont know whether it'd handle many road kays for an extended period.
like the others said, its faaar simpler to just get gears....but it is cooler to have twin sticks

ZOOK60 had a twin case setup in his sierra. It was a lwb though which would alleviate most of the driveline issues. Maybe PM him.

I think "BigZook" had some thing along the lines of, 1.6 with vitara auto, mated to twin hilux transfers ?
One of the drive lines that vehicle ran.

Plus it is cool to be a bit different than all the others
