Need Info on 3.0Ltr Gu

I am looking at buying a 3.0ltr Gu but I have heard they have had engine problems, was this due to modifications or did occour on stock standard models? Also can anyone tell me how many kms they get from a full tank in them?

Seriously I'd advise you to buy a 4.2 Turbo diesel
