Hey guys, I drive a 1990 NG Pajero with an intercooled 4D56. It has been a really good car since it replaced my old NA back in February. This weekend I will be replacing the clutch (which has been playing up, especially since I went 4WDing a few weeks back), and to do that I will be removing the gearbox. I don't intend to take the gearbox apart, but what do I need to look out for to make sure it's in good condition? How do I know if I need to do something more to the gearbox before I re-fit it. I know that mitsubishi has had a bad reputation with it's earlier gearboxes, and I would apprieciate any advice possible. So far, my gearbox has performed really well and I hope that it stays that way! Thanks for your time...

mate it wouldnt hurt to put a set of new bearings through it but if its been driving well and doesnt whir pretty much dont fix it if it aint broke. reco box for those things are only about 1500 or so. drive her till she pops and bang another in
