im just wondering how hard it is to tune the throttle bodies, is it just a matter of swapping metering rods till you get the right a/f ratio? are the a/f readings the same for gas as petrol? ive had experiance at tuning petrol but not gas.

Thats sort of right excpect you will find that unless you machine down the metering rod in certain points you won't be able to get optimum mixtures, the slotted end is WOT and the other is cruise. Cruise overlaps with progression and progression with idle. Idle and progression accept small restrictor jets, I don't go under 2mm in progression as flat spotting can occur. The idle dosent always require jetting as there is an air bleed for idle mixture for fine tuning idle. Expect to carve up a few metering rods if you havent done it before while getting the part throttle mixture right. I delete the steps in the rods and machine a smooth taper as the enrichment is far more progressive this way.
