Outer Limits 4x4 Board

Just bought a 60 that the previous owner gave a drink of unleaded to. Now won't run. Someone told him that petrol swells and stuffs all the seals in the injector pump causing the pump to bypass. Can anyone confirm this without guessing?

Yes petrol will affect the seals in the pump. Petrol will also blow holes in the tops of the pistons.

too much petrol snuffs it out. will learnt that. prime and prime till it gets hard then itll run for a few seconds and die. why is this?

Nothing wrong with the motor or pump after all. The goose I bought the car off hadn't blead the lines properly after he drained and re-filled the tank. The filter was half air and the primer was cavitating. I stuck an electric pump on it for about 10 seconds and now all is well. Turns out to be a better buy than I though.
