Help: Winch Mount behind alloy bar

Does anyone have any tips for making up a winch mount to go behind an alloy bar? The factory Toyota bar mounts are alloy too, meaning whatever I make up will probably have to go to the chassis rails, not onto the bar itself. THe bar mounts sit up and I think the twisting would break them.
Thanx

remove the mounts from the bar
make a steel bracket to mount the winch with a steel plate in the front that extends past the chassis rail
and bolt the bar to the winch bracket from the front

Arb all the way, far superior to that chinese ironman rubbish you are obviously talking about the "sahara" bars that both company sell.
Arb's are made in Kilsyth using bhp steel and are pretty dam accurate when it comes to fit and finish, i can't say the same for the ironman shite, and i have personally fitted both brands before.
