Slipper Springs

i have no intention of using this, but i saw them and got curious... has anyone used slipper springs on a 4wd??

HERE is a few pics of them. standard eye at one end, the other end slides along the chassis rails, usualy with a bracket around them to stop them dropping down to much....

Um ... I think you'll find they are being sold from a Trailer Parts store for a reason.

Rough as guts and longevity questionable ...

oh yeah i know y they are sold by a trailer store, but my curiosity got the better of me...

in theory they would give good wheel drop... but if the slip end is facing 4wards then it would likely get caught up heaps

They wont work on a 4wd because the wheels are driven unlike a trailer.
The leaf springs on a vehicle control axle wrap as well as the up and down movement of the diff.
