LPG, Turbo,s and Intercoolers?

Ok. Im looking at buying an 80 series Landcruiser with a 4.5ltr on Dual Fuel that has a T04 Turbo fitted and no intercooler. It also has 6 extra fuel injectors ,Haltech Fuel Managment and a Decompresion plate. The turbo was fitted before the LPG was fitted and its just a typical draw through LPG kit fitted before the Turbo Charger.
I want the most out of this engine on both Fuel and LPG. Not interested in loosing either. The engine should make 225KW+ at 7PSI on fuel as it is without the restriction of the LPG with the set up its running now. I would like to get similar or more out of both. And fit an intercooler so i can add more boost and get better reliability out of the engine(they will cope with 15PSI in stock form comfortably). Now the intercooler is where the problem starts. I really dont want to suck LPG through the intercooler but i doubt the LPG will handle the boost pressure if the LPG mixer was fitted after the intercooler.
Anyone had dealings with LPG,Turbo,s and Intercoolers? And have any suggestions?

Tony, i`ve set up gas after the cooler but had to boost reference the converter to keep 4psi of gas presure above boost presure just like a blow-through carby. It was nice to tune and nice to drive up to 15 psi. Warren WM Motorsport 32051951

Thanks Warren. I never even gave Boost referencing a thought. Thats basicaly just feeding boost back onto the diaphrame on the converter right?

Correct. I`ve done it to B2 converters without problems

Thats right fit the balance line and relocate the mixer, I did a lot when with Gasresearch Australia and Gasresearch Performance cente, I'd put a Gasresearch on it but they are a bit of a bugger on the 4.5l although Gasresearch do make a specific Carby making the throttle linkage easier to fit. It will make more power as it is less restrictive than any impco but requires someone who knows how to tune it.

Can i still run it on fuel with this set up? I realise the current mixer will be restricting potential HP on both gas and fuel but i would really prefer to still have both.

Go gas injection
up the boost and you'll never use petrol again

Yes you can use petrol as well, gas injection is good but you need to get a good system and one that can flow your requirements as I found some systems have problematic injectors.

Not a great deal of surface area, I'd be interested to do some before and after testing.

They may look small but there surface area is huge.
Each fin is 0.2mm thick, each air gap is 0.3mm between the fins, they are 376mm long and there are 4 of them, the look almost solid in the picture and the air is forced to flow between the fins no alternate route.
Flow of an unrestricted inlet 65mm/2.5"(straight tube) 400CFM
Flow through my inlet 390CFM 65mm/2.5"
Pressure drop 2% under vacuum, this I'm told will be less under positive pressure.
Each core requires a minimum of 20ltr per min. So the pump needs to be min of 80Ltrs per min
But yes testing will tell all

My money is on Eskimo nipple freezers

Matt just read youre intercooler buildup, oh my god that is some awesome work! I can only dream of having access to that kind of equipment! Do you have cnc lathes/mills at work or?

The design is very simple, Awill4x4's welding skills make it look good. No need for cnc or anything complicated just a basic lathe and mill is all that's needed.

Yes I see, it's not that clear in the photo, would be good to see in action.
