Gday guys I have a GQ with broken vaccuum diff lock, and was thinking of replacing it with an LSD. I have been told that one of the axles is shorter with the diff lock can I still use it with the LSD or do I need to get a longer axle?

it will fit and should be fine just a little less surface contace on the splines but on a lsd i cant see this being a major issue

could be wrong tho.
dont forget you have to weld up the hole in the diff. you will probable
(depending on wich bits broken) and if you shop around you will get a whole lsd diff for 300-350

id just buy the whole diff n swap it in

Who would be able to fix the factory locker?

Mine is playing up again and I need new gears as well. They are too noisy.

Ive just broken my rear locker too and are chucking a lsd into it to get it back onto the road but are having trouble getting the driver side axle to go all the way back in. Its like it needs 10mm cut off the end.

Can anyone tell me what the length of the standard length axle is??

Are you guys sure the diff lock axle is the shorter of the two??

Im happy to cut the axle to length but want to make sure it is the axle that is preventing it from going all the way in.
