Well just bolted up the flywheel properly, had to knock off the old throwout bearing and then install the new bearing.

Now I am stuck trying to put the new clutch, pressure plate and throwout bearing back in. Reading in a previous post I believe the pressure plate doesnt need adjusting from new.

Now when I place the throwout bearing in position, I cannot slide the pressure plate and clutch up between the flywheel and throwout bearing.

Is there a tip to do so or what. I have since got it up there but is all jammed in a mess and really pi$$ing me off. Plus the pressure plate and clutch start gettig heavy after a while.

TIPS please !!

Well as mentioned it is now 1:55am Friday night and I’m pissed (yes, that means drunk)

Just kicked my mate out, who turns out also put a ding in my GU Patrol door as he jumped on it and his fly scratched down (vertical) the door and a small pressure ding. Lets just say I went off as I love my cars and there is no excuse in damaging them unless it was my own fault. Not stupidity.

Well back to the G60, Estaban (Look at RMP-O in sig), went straight outside looking at what you suggest, noy going to work. However while I was there I said stuff it and bolted up the pressure plate, once this was done the throwout bearing slotted straight in place.

So for the other suckers out there, process is

1- Slot throwout bearing in place
2- Slide pressure plate and clutch in position, careful it will
jam and be very tight.
3- While all in place (well just ) bolt the pressure plate to the
flywheel
4- Then slot throwout bearing in place !
5- All done and time for Marks 5 Speed
