hey my mate and i went out on the weekend and drowned his car its a 93 diesel lux, up to the seats with water inside the cabin lol so im guessing the engine would of most likely sucked some in, after this its developed a massive knocking noise and struggles to go over 40kmh, anyone got an idea on wat it could be?

I'd say this aswell as the water wouild need to be upto around half way up the guard before it sucked and into the induction.

Drain the fuel tank and fuel filter, fill with non contaminated diesel, crack the injectors and crank for a few minutes.

Looks like I am on the nose with the water in the tank although someone may have a better suggestion than I about how to get it all out. Could even use some metho to evaporate it out of the tank once drained

Do not use metho in diesel.

it seperates it.

metho works in petty, but NOT diesel

If it took a gutful of water down the intake then it will have hydraulic locked and bent rods etc.
