at the moment i'm running 35's on my 4runner and shes scrubbing when flexing. its got a 2" suspension and 2" body lift. has anyone got some positive feedback on cutting guards or has there been previous posts worth having a look at. don't really want to go any higher cos tippy tippy rollover isn't to cool.
cheers joel

Is it scrubbing the front guards or the rear?

Something I did that may work is I put spacers behind the guard mounting bolts at the bottom to flare it out more away fron the tyre, I actually put a 40mm piece of unistrut in the Mangey, you might not be able to get quite as much in a Hilux guard, but just a suggestion.

imagine to fit 44" tyres without cutting the guards, and be able to drive on it on atleast at 80km/h without rolling over, that whould be allmost impossible
what i'm trying to say that this is no big deal, you just have to cut straight (not some ugly job like when you are tearing a paper to two halfs or something) an protect the open "wound" against rust, this is done with allmost every 4X4 here in Iceland when they are modified to either 38", 40" or 44", and there are a LOT of those here in Iceland, trust me
