Outer Limits 4x4 Board

I have a 88 gq lwb the steering box is leaking very bad

should I just put a early model box back in

or a late model box

or a gu one

and what year did the late model box start or how do you tell the difference

what mods have to be done to fit the above box's

The comp truck we run is an 88 and we fitted a GU box in as their is no mods required, you will need a adjustable drag link as the GU's are opposite to Gq's in the taper.
The GU boxes are stronger than the early Gq's so i would say go for the later model.
