Pre and Post intercooler temps

Some of you may have seen the intercooler I have designed and built.

This is a bit of an unknown quanity untill tested early next year with regards to how effective it will be.
What I would like to know is your pre and post intercooler temps for both air to air and water to air intercoolers so I have something to compare it too.

i'm running an isuzu turbo diesel with a toyota supra W/A intercooler. I bought a $99 dick smith dual input thermocouple reader, which you can read both inputs at once. I have found the hotter the intake temps the bigger the reduction. The max temp on the inlet was 110deg which was on a hot day with egts of 480. The post I/C tem was 72deg, so the drop was 38.
Normally around town the temps are 80deg in, 50deg out with a drop of 30deg.

what were your normal egt's then? and do you have any pre intercooler egts?

Normal egts depend on driving conditions. 110kph on the flat its about 300-320 hit a hill and it climbs to 400. if its idleing at lights it drops to 150.
I've always run an intercooler, so dont have any pre intercooler egts if thats what you mean.

The only bit of info I have come across so far for the intercooler core I have used is this.
APX's engine is a supercharged 3 litre (2996 cc, Bore: 88 mm, stroke: 82.1
mm) V6 DOHC engine, mounted longitudinally in the front of the vehicle. It
uses a Rootes-type supercharger with a compact air - to - water Laminova -
type charge cooler with separate parallel coolant system using its own water
pump and heat exchangers allowing a charge temperature reduction of
approximately 50 degrees Celcius.

Tuning my car today, not finished but underway, my intake air temp sensor was reading 33 to 40 degrees C at the entry to the throttle, ambiant room temp was 29-33 degrees, I'm happy with that 600x300x75mm Ebay air to air. At 270 rwKw @ 5000 rpm @ 8 psi , fuel Ok still needs more timing, should crack 300 rwKw at 8 psi by 6000 with timing.

You tuning on a Dyno with a big blower in front of the truck?

Yes we have 2 massive fans that blow under and through the engine bay, I'll take a photo tomorrow for you. Still tuning I'm up to 325 rwKw now, I think there is more in it yet as still no sign of detonation and power still going up with timing added. The computer has timing reduction I can set for coolant and intake air temps so if its hotter on the road at low speeds timing is reduced to avoid pinging.

Two different turboed TB42 Nissans that I know of with the same PWR 600HP water to air I/C:
1st - 18psi boost, 20 degrees ambient temp pulled 60 degrees out of the intake temp,
2nd - 12psi, 40 degrees ambient temp also pulled 60 degrees out of the intake temp.
I've also worked through the calcs from here

Spent the evening calculating Turbo outlet temps for the Garrett GT3082R @ 70F/21C ambient and from what I can work out at 9psi the outlet temp should be around 180F/82C at 15psi the outlet temp rises to 227F/108C.
Now if the intercooler is as good as I hope we should be looking at some good results.
If I have done my math right and built an intercooler that works.
