Air-lift suspension

Does anyone have experience with air lifters for the rear suspension of a Pajero.

I would like to install a set in my vehicle but have been told by a US merchant that it has been discontinued for my model. ( 3.5 DOHC NJ Station wagon) I have also heard but not confirmed that the Landcruiser takes the same kit as my Pajero. (which model cruiser?)

It seems that there could be an "Air-lift" kit available. Does anyone have knowledge of the reliability/durability of the air lifters.

The sets cost USD 86.75 for the Coil rite and about USD 69 for the air-lift from the US. It costs about double in South Africa.

Any advice appreciated.

Some feedback.

I installed my Air Lifters and I am quite pleased. I ordered them from the US and it took 10 days, and cost me in total including shipping and 14% vat, 128USD. ( the Pajero takes the same kit as the cruiser)

It was only necessary to jack the car up, one side at a time with suspension hanging, remove the wheel and insert the poly air bag. Then route the air tube. At a leasurely pace, it took me 2 hours.

I later on decided to put a 30 mm spacer in at the bottom of the coil and I am very happy with the result.

Allthough I did not install it for the lift, I got the following result: With no load, It was 25mm higher than standard at 5psi presure and with 30psi about 50mm higher.

I inflated it to various pressures and drove over speedbumps. You can clearly feel the difference between the different settings.

I am looking forward to my next offroad trip fully loaded to enjoy the benefits.

I believe it was money well spent.
