100 series headlight configuration (HID conversion?)

hey guys,
im just asking a quick question here, im looking at getting my parentals a set of HID conversion bulbs for their 100 series land cruiser (not the stupid ricer blue ones, the 4300K ones), and im wondering a few things
1) has anyone else here successfully done it, and if so, are the headlight housings favourable for this kind of treatment? I have done it on my supra for both low beam and foglight, however since i have projector lamps from stock, they dont shine all over the shop and disturb oncoming traffic. My parents would NOT want something that pissed other people off, but after converting my supra to HIDs im sure they would appreciate the extra light and much whiter appearance.
2) what particular bulb type are the 100 series? one light for low beam, one for high? or is it an all in one? are they projector type lamps (with the big glass ball lens etc) ?
for example on my car:
BEFORE:
AFTER:
(though i did get the 6000 and 10000K bluish ones, that people like my olds would yell at)
any input appreciated, if i do/can actually do this id need to order them soon so i can take them to melbourne with me
anyone got pics of it done? hell im actually assuming the 100 series still runs halogen?
thanks
