Where to find 1hd-ft or 1hd-fte engines.

ok ive been looking everywhere (including motor auctions) for these engines but i cant find many.
one i did find had 41,ks on it and was complete with loom, puter and auto for $11,500..
i want something around the 8,500 to 9,900 price range but do not want a auto (dont really need a box at all but i thought i would change it)
ive searched ebay, trading post, wreckers, online vehicle auctions (rarely do you find a totally crunched vehicle, most times these are only minor and go for around $14,500 to 18,000) and here and 4wd monthly and a few importers but most dont do diesels..
is there any other suggestions as i wanted to get one in there before xmas.?

I know you said your after 1hd-ft or 1hd-fte but the 1hd-t is direct replacement = far less headaches. Are you keeping your sahara or getting rid of it? I would expect it to be worth a lot more with a brand new engine in it even if its the 1hd-t

I thought your engine only needed new injectors?

i did have a number for a guy selling new block and pistons, reco head and the rest 1hdft in victoria for 6500...but yu still then need the ancilaries...in your case, just the inlet manifold, as you have the rest that will bolt on...i will see if i can dig this up for you, he was in Golden victoria and was a tracter place/toyotamotor builder....hopwever....by far the best option for you is the 78 series hdfte in a wreck from pickles...by the time you sell the rest, it will come in at 8k...

im not worried about doing slightly more work to get a better engine in there.
been watching these 2 for ages now, 2nd is no good to me as i have nothing else to go on it or loom or puter.
