would anyone know of any bad issues, things to look out for when buying a prado,am looking at 97/98 3.4 ltr autos, approx 150 ks....fuel consumption, timing belt intervals, any major problems????,all replies would be greatly appreciated, have seen a couple on the net for around $13,500 which seems about average for those models,or should i be looking at the 80 series petrol auto,it will mainly be used as shopping trolley & town hack, but we do the occasional camping thing and tow the boat around a bit, thought the 80 series might use a bit to much fuel, cheers rob

the fuel tank bash plates love catching and collecting mud, would be a good place to look if it has been used in anger.

Not much that I can think off the top of my head though, mines great and I can't see anything of particular interest apart from the normal things.
