Cooling probs

Hi everyone i changed the coolant on ma rr(84 carby v8) now it gets more hot than usual. It always sits just above the white now it sits just below half and moves all over the place slowly so it will get to about half then drops agen depends on da revs as well at crusin speed it will sit at half then wen ya get to da lights it will drop so im confused.
Is there a problem wif the temp senser or the guage???

did you make sure you have no airlocks

Yeh i did i was talkin to a rover mechanic and he reckons it could be a voltage regulator any help would be a great. its just a bit of a worry thats all

temp changing with the rev's normally means no thermostat

Nah its got evrythin a cooling system should and its got a new thermostat and radiator and the whole engine has been flushed as well.

First thing to check is the gauge.
Then you'll know if it's an engine problem or an instrument problem.
