Hand brake problems..

Hi all,
on my last 4wd trip out to city view, i got hung up on a rock in the creek, resulting me in bending something on my transfer case, i not too sure what is because i dont know too much about them, and now my handbrake dosnt work... it feels much more tighter now and dosnt pull up as far, and it dosnt work at all..... and suggestions? i have got a another 1L transfer case but it dosnt have a handbrake cable and i have no idea on how to put it in??

that is your handbrake and you've more than likely bent something like the drum or who knows what else

Remove the rear tailshaft.
Remove the handbrake drum.
Remove the little brake pads and clips etc.
Remove the backing plate that had the little brake shoes attached to it (the bent bit)
Straighten the backing plate with a hammer and a block of wood.
Re-assemble in reverse order.
Might pay to fit new handbrake shoes while you have it apart.

does your other transfer case have a spot for the 4wd switch?
if so I'll take it. LOL
