Heavy Duty side step / slider

Post by Hallie »

G'day,

I'm chasing some custom heavy duty side steps / sliders to help protect my sills. I would like them to be bolt on only, vehicle is an 04 GU Wagon.

Does anyone know of a business that does good work in the Brisbane area?

I've had a search on here with not too much luck.

Thanks in advance.

That style are more suited to being side steps because they will bend up and damage your door sill if you come down on a rock.

actually mine are designed to be used on vehicles that drive on rocks...

i have yet to see any of mine bend up and dint door sills as you expertly pointed out..they are not ARB steps made from 1mm walled tube they are made from 3.2mm and 4mm wall and can be gusseted to suit however extreme you wish them to be driven...

pm me if you want more details pics etc..the pics in that thread are pretty dated now

i dropped my ute on a heap of big rocks in the logan challenge and they never moved and they only sit 5 mm under the sill near the front.
