Increasing horsepower???

Post by Matthews »

"with every ten degrees that the Jeep cold air intake cools off the air temperature, one percent is added to the engine’s horsepower. "

-this was quoted from a mechanic website automechanics.wordpress.com. it this is true, then getting these Jeep Parts are well worth the money. What you guys think?

throw some dry ice in the box aswell and it might make 1 1/10 of a difference
yes cold air is better fact
but i recon you will get more power out of the new air filter then the claimed cold air? seriously if it was that much better dont you think every car or vehicle for that matter would come with some sort of intercooler (air to air or air to water type set up)
I hate going to weddings because all the grandma's used to poke me in the ribs saying you're next, you're next. They've stopped doing it since I started doing it to them at funerals.

you obviously have no idea as to how they use dry ice for cooling then?
it is used in front of the intercooler or a special box made around the intake as to help supercool the air.
Its not used inside the intake......... :finger:
