Bead Lock Rims

Is there an outer ring or something similar you can buy for sunraysia style steel rims to make a bead lock ?

I have noticed this in a few pictures of trucks and they look to me as being every day sunny's with a ring bolted about 20 times to the outside ?

I priced a set of walker evans bead lock rims and, dont get me wrong they are a really nice wheel, but for the price and the amount of hard driving they will be getting, they would be wasted.

Is there a cheaper alternative ? Im thinking of how good it would be to really drop the tyre pressure for sand dunes, rocks etc and not have them slip.

weld on rings are available. Many places will do them. Sandy at Aus4wd did mine on 15x8" ROH rims. Can't remember what i paid but was about half the cost of internals. They work well and bash straight if smashed by rock, etc. but are a biatch to balance. Combined with the Simex ET2's they have an awesome death wobble at around 55-70km/hr. It's a bugger stuck in traffic heading to or from bush.
