Do we need a Feroza, Rocky etc Bible section ?

Like all single make sections - lots of people build up lots of valuable knowledge about their vehicles.

At the moment this seems to be confined to individual posts.

To help newbies and oldies alike - why don't we create a bible or two ?

Perhaps - Feroza, Rocky, Parts Suppliers ( please suggest )

I don't really know how its administered for other brands, but I would be happy to do the Feroza section and if we could find a Rocky person then that would help.

What do people think ?

Have you read the FAQ post? :?

Yes, but perhaps its could be broken up into "bibles" as it currently contains all models.

My goal is (was) to make it more obvious where specific info is contained and to add more text explanations before each series of links.

I understand where your coming from, but after the eleventyth question on Feroza Lockers you do wonder if there can be a more obvious path.

Probably hoping for the impossible but..........

You're welcome to add onto the FAQ thread and lay it out better. I can then delete the original.

In all honesty I think you and I live in a fairy land believing posts like that actually get used / read!

Yep - your probably right, and if you subtract the repeat questions from the forum there would probably nothing to talk about.

Will be interesting to see what sort of responses do turn up.

I think the FAQs are the way to go, maybe if they were laid out better.

After looking at the FAQs a lot of topics refer to both Rockys and Feroza so it would be difficult to separate all of them.

Maybe people just have to do a bit more looking at the FAQ before posting.

Ok - times been ticking by and there doesn't seem to be much interest in the "Bible" idea, which I think indicates that the status quo is the go.

Probably was unrealistic in the first place (yes David you did hint at that all along.. )

IMHO the bible is a great idea, and i do my best to keep the zook one up to date. But as Murcod and you have said, No matter how easy it is to use, you still get n00bs who dont read the bible, FAQ, or search.

Layto....

Yes I am very impressed by the zook bibles, but its a numbers game - there are far less Daihatsu owners and at the risk of creating controversy - a far smaller proportion that actually venture off road.

BOLLICKS! :D

around here, out of the 100 odd Feroza/Rocky owners in the north here at least 3 of us select 4wd once a year ...and 2 of us even go off road .. so as you can see thats a huge errrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr 3% of us Daihatsu owners that 4x4 umm I think I will sit down and shut up now

Your doing well over the ditch.....

I've even taking to stopping Feroza drivers in supermarket carparks to see if they go offroad ( get to meet some VERY nice young ladies that way... ) but without success ( off road that is ), " it looked cute", "its economical", "wanted a taller car", "just liked it" etc.

I suspect that if you asked them how to lock the hubs they wouldn't know.

Some have no #$% idea - parked the mouse beside a Feroza, same model, same color, age etc - and after a bit of a conversation with the guy he asked me what my Toyota was like to drive !

He looked absolutely stunned when I pointed out the mouse was a Feroza just like his ( or started life as one ).

SO put your 3% in lights
