What Grease is best for what

I bought a Grease gun and the grease that came with it is red and my neighbour said its no good cause its not water proof

And Ive got this pinkish orangey sticky grease in one side of my bearings and the other side is just the dark black stuff.

What is the best grease to use in what

I use Slick 50 grease for everything except the brake caliper pins (PBR rubber grease).
Good stuff.................

the dude at the parts store up the road told me i should use marine grease instead of normal grease - better water resistance...

Try visiting somewhere like www.castrol.com.au their site should explain what all the different greases are for.
