hey guys, just a query about the ol surfs. the really old ones came out with a 2-LT with a mechanical fuel pump right? and then the slightly newer shape was the 2LTE with the electronic one, the one which had the head problems? i went to look at one of the slightly newer shape ones, a 90 model, and on top of the engine it had 2-LT on it, not 2-LTE.....

just wondering if they all come out with that printed on them, or if it should have 2-LTE on top of the rocker cover?

The newer shape LN130 until August 1990 has the mechanical pump and "Turbo Diesel" on cross pipe, then they changed over to the EFI that have "EFI Diesel" or something on the cross pipe.

Look at the Silver plate and see the engine type to confirm.

The earlier ones had less probs with the heads.
