Hi Grant
There was a thread somewhere on OL recently, someone said go to Capral (?) on a Saturday morning and they'll cut the bar to length for you, without charging a small fortune.
Smart Aluminium has a presence at Nerang - 5527 9899. Their catalogue lists a large range of sizes in Machining Round (2011 alloy), or they have 60mm and 76mm in Round Rod (6061 Alloy). The round rod alloy is listed as having better corrosion resistance if this concerns you.
Cheers,
Scott

Yeah thanks,
I would much prefer nylon/poly blocks. I never had any probs with the old ones especially under full flex. Call me old fashioned but I think ill stick with what has worked in the past.
I appreciate the help NJ... Hopefully we can take a trip to LCMP soon with mike aka redrocket...

Grant i don't think you can use nylon/poly anymore in qld. Best bet is to get a stock bar cut from capral but it will be expensive. i used stock bar and cut them in an auto saw and centre bored the holes on a lathe. if you can i would try and get bigger diameter than the standard mounts so they spread the load onto the body better.

Mike is right. Regs these days state the blocks must be metal.
