I'm thinking of fitting an x-link to the front of the 80series but before I go any further with it I'd like to have a look at/ go for a ride in an 80 with an x-link fitted.
Has anyone got one I can come have a look at?
cheers.

hi bud. not that i can help you with a ride but we have 3 different sized 80 series here with them on.
you will not go wrong with one of these although i do think you need a lockout or at least your front swaybar whilst onroad.
80# 1; 5 inch superior lift, 35 tyres, swaybars, handles really good onroad, will drop the top of the tyre just over a foot under the sill panel.
80# 2; 4" lift running 6" lift shocks, 35 tyres, no swaybars, handles like a boat on rough seas onroad, will drop the top of the trye just under 2ft under the sill
80# 3; 2" lift, 33 tyres, rear swaybar with no front, handles good onroad (not far from std 80 with no front swaybar) will drop top of tyre a foot under the sill.
mate they are worth every penny in my books and are one of the most well thought out design ive seen in ages.
cheers mark

Hi Junior,
As you probly know my GQ has one, and I would never go back....
Glen Dobin is a bloody Genius !!!!
It complements the rest of the suspension great.
The front is now fairly well matched up to the rear and it all works a treat !
Glen has a "Demo" front end around at his workshop if you need to see how they work, and I am sure he will be happy to talk to you about it onb the phone......Look up Dobbin Engineering or google it and you will get his website...
Glen went to the trouble to make me a lockout, but I never fitted it because its not to bad to drive with out it......I also have No swaybars front of rear.
Do it mate, you know you want to
Cheers Harb........
