Striped wiper nut - I'm an idiot :(

I was bored and thought I would remove the wiper arms on the cruiser and give them a coat of paint, all was going good until I was putting the passenger side arm back on and when tightening the nut that holds the arm down must have gone a bit hard and now it wont go tight enough. I tried thread tape but with no joy.

I only hope its just he nut that is stripped and a trip to the wreckers will solve the problem, if its the thread on the shaft on the motor I am not sure what to do, am I up for another motor or is the shaft bit replacable?

Damn nuts have to be some custom job too - typical :x

if the nut is strip then replace it if the shaft is then see if there is any thread on shaft if so put washer between the nut and wiper arm

I am guessing he is saying that the wiper off the rear window has the part you are after.

Nah I checked for that when I first striped it, the raer wipers have a standard nut. And to make matters worst I was going to try the washer under the nut idea but now the nut has rattled loose while driving and its gone :(

Off to the wreckers for me on the weekend i guess..

Jeremy and Emmas' std cruiser is in being cut into a uterus, they will have some spare rear door parts if you need them....
