Taking the motor out of the GQ... Out with the old in '08

ahhhhh ShortyIQ trying to rip out the old 4.2 petrol engine out of the gq but the bellhousing and the motor don't want to unjoin..... there is a 20-30mm gap between the 2 and there is a fair amount of play...

Had the mechanic just over on his way home from work and his opinion is that it is possible that the spigot bearing is siezed onto the drive shaft preventing the removal...

Which means either getting to the clutch plate screws somehow or ripping the dong out with the gearbox.

Can anyone give some advice or share some expirences?

MY MONEY IS ON THE spigot bearing TOO WORKed FOR A MECHENIC for a while had a few like that we always managed to pry them apart but that was on a hoist which is allway easyer

Yeah finally got the donk out....... Spigot is the culprit..

Its funny, I went for one final look, gave the engine crane one last shake in anger and POP out it came...
