Well yesterday mums car 99 paj started pissing coolant all over the ground, as far as i can tell the welshplug on the drivers side near the firewall is the cause, seems to have devlepoed a tiny hole and is in a bloody pain in the arse place to get to, tried a temp fix to get her to a mechanic but to no avail, the pressure blew out the repair.

Dad leaves OS for a month in 2 days so we need to get it fixed asap and he doesnt have time to do it, What is an approx cost or options to get her fixed? i know its a hard question to answer but ballpark would be good.

Are they the kind of item you can just replace cheaply or a spot of weld and call her good would be the one?

Cheers
Tim

if it can be done in there without removing motor than a shop shouldnt charge to much. you should never Repair a welshy, although it depends how dodgy you are. my mate repaired one on his vl and its still going today, 3 years later. all he did was drain coolant, ruff up the plug and area around it with some emery tape, and filled the plug with jb weld, put a small circle of cut out plastic (chinese continer lid) over it to hold all the jb there till it set. has never leaked from then so its up to you. Personally i would never do this unless it was to get me out of being stuck somewhere etc, depends how tight you are :D
