What is the maximum lift on a LN106...

I have 89 single cab hilux, I fitted some rather large tyres on it (33x14x15 swampers, will be fitting either 33 or 35 x 12.5 later) that got fairly cheap. They have a bit of a scrubing issue on the front of the body (as per pic). I went into ARB today and they feel/and what they can see is that the springs they can sell me will only give me about 2"s over stock but after looking at my springs feel that they have been redone somewhere along the lines and it would only give me about a 1" more then what I have now. I was chasing about another 2-3"s more then what I have now. They said that I would have to change all the steering etc to be able to do that. I don't really want to use large drop shackles as I don't want to rotate the diff, ( if this is true) and what are peoples feelings about wedges to bring it back?
What I am asking is what would be the best way of increasing my lift and doing it with the minimal fuss. Plus what is the maximum lift I can go before I start having to change my steering components or anything else for that matter.
I also realise that I have to get extended brake lines and a adjustable torque rod too. I want some articulation but it doesn't need to be more then what I have now, can be less, I just want clearance).
So my understanding possibilities are
2" body lift ( don't really feel like taking that on unless I have too)
extended drop shackles
more lift from the springs
(what are the better shocks for the rear as I was going to replace the front ones with Rancho 5000's again)

i would just do the 2inch body lift champ it will help you in the future anyway. then if you need more 2inch extended shackels. i have heaps of lift in my lux and 35 bajas and they still still hit the leaf spring when you turn. with 14.5s would be much worse you will need wheel spacers 14.5s are wide tyres no matter what you have if you are thinking about going back to 33/12.5s id just do that as you will need a fair bit of work to run 14.5s

I'm not hitting anything like springs, just the body and the bull bar, the rear just touches the chassis. Thats it....

You can buy 1 inch spacers that move your front diff forward you would then require an adjustable torque rod, this should fix your scrubbing on your front guard but you will need to cut your bull bar further.
If this doesn't work then i would run a 2inch body lift (PM v6hilux he makes and sells these) this would probably fix this problem.
If your willing to go the whole who-ha i would suggest a Rear's up front conversion but this requires a lot of effort but would fix this problem indefinitely and if done properly will give you about the max height and flex that you could want out of an almost not quite standard leaf sprung setup. (please correct me if I'm wrong as i haven't done one of these but I've seen many in action.)
But again the top two paragraphs i think will probably fix this but you wont have any more flex than now.
As for the back scrubbing on the chassis i either wouldn't worry or get some larger offset rims or wheel spacers.

maximum lift = 6metres I wouldnt think you could do a body lift much taller, otherwise you would need some hell assed custom threaded rod for the body bolts.
but if you did a 5 metre body lift and ran some 2 or 3" springs you should be schweet.

Went to TJM this morning and asked the same questions, they can do a 4" spring lift and the only thing I have to change is the length of the brake lines.... they reckon I don't have to change anything on my steering...
So a reword on what I'm after...
Whats the maximum lift on the springs I can get before having to modify anything. So if I went 3" over standard other then brake lines I should be good?

move the diff forward on the spring perches. And keep the spring lift as low as you can.
I would avoid a body lift if you can, but it's also an option.

For any lift you will have to at least change some things
Maximum lift before modifying steering components, well the body lift is the answer!!
try for 3" or less. research what is legal in your state!

Brake lines first... maybe a drop steering arm if you lift enough with the springs.

i run 33s on my lux and did a 2 inch body to make sure i cleared the rubber. real easy and you can do it in 1/2 a day.
Prob easiest option.
Also with the adjustable torque rod, i have gone high steer conversion on mine as it was gonna cost me $1000 for the power steering kit alone, but only ended up costing me 1700 for high steer. Anyway for the high steer, the bracket on the chassis for the torque rod has to be removed, hence no torqu rod.
I have not noticed any difference at all.

Yeah it's mainly for the push and pull of the steering, never had one on my lux when it was running a drop draglink and it'd drive ok but you would twist the diff a fair amount without it when turning

Superior engineering have a 3 inch lift package which gives you everything from soft lifted springs with matching shocks to all the neccesarry bits and pieces to make your steering and everything work properly for about $1700

hey man..
i dont have any enourmous spring lift on mine. to fix my tyre scrubbin i done the 2 inch body, starting pushin more flex so i decided to add bumpstops into the ecuation and look at mine now...
hehe
this is achieved on standard steering components.

Does anyone have knowledge about bluemax springs? Got a quote using bluemax, already had a couple of people that have used them and were not happy. anyone else had them or any knowledge about them?

dont know much on the springs dude but i would suggest if ya wanna put some 35's in or 33's look in to puttind rear springs in the front its well worth the effort, few different ways of doing it but simple none the less, pushes the diff forward to get clearance from the body.... no need for a body lift either, might need it if ya went to a 35, but yea there is my 2cents worth, hav a look at my members thred, its only been a small build but much the same as lux_89's truck, as for ya springs, ive had some luck with tuffdog springs in the rear, and put stock rears in the front, now the only tihng i touch on is the chassis at the back when the wheel comes up
mind u i also had mu lux lowered 3" at one stage with 35's on it and i never touched! but good luck mate always good to see another lux gettin moded !!!
