Hey all,

I checked through the forum and couldn't find anything on this one. I am showing a fault code 11 on the ol' Rocky.
I don't have A/C....not sure where idle switch is????
Could this fault be because the terminals are shorted to run the test?

11 Switch signal. When even one of the following conditions is satisfied with the test terminal shorted with the ground terminal:

a.when the airconditioner is funtioning.
b.when the idle switch is turned OFF

possible problems:
1. Air conditioner circuit
2. Throttle position sensor
3. Throttle position sensor circuit
4. ECU

this is just a random guess, but the idle switch maybe on the throttle body, when the throttle plate closes it might push a switch to tell the computer that the throtle body is closed and change the fueling. i had a daihatsu charade little while a go and had a problem with the idle swithc\ throttle position sensor. the throttle position sensor should change in resistance as the throttle plate moves. the idle switch is just open or closed circut when it is activated or not. i not good at explaining things so that was probably a pile of garble, but i hope it helps somehow, good luck with it

Yes, the TPS switch is on the end of the throttle butterfly shaft. From memory the Feroza one is an open / closed type - not resistive. It should be short when your thottle is closed and can be adjusted IIRC.

As soon as the throttle is opened up the TPS should give a high resistance reading.
