i want to install a kill switch in my nj pajero. i was thinking off putting it on the ignition starter wire. but i am not sure which wire it is. can anyone help?

Pull the covers off the steering colomn and locate the back of the ignition switch. With a test light, probe the soldered contacts (where the wires are joined to the back of the switch) while flicking the key to the start position. You'll find it soon enough.

If your Pajero is EFI you'd be better off putting the kill switch on the fuel pump power instead of starter.
This way you might hear the engine cranking over when someone tries to steal it but it won't start.
If you get tricky with a relay you can have it set up so when the kill switch is turned on the fuel pump is turned off and when the engine is cranked the horn will blow.

Under no circumstances should you interupt the ignition system with a kill switch
try connecting to the starter motor in between the crank and supply from the key using a change over relay with diode protection use a negative trigger to the relay switching negative to activate the relay :roll:
