Decent exhaust shop brisbane

I live in Redcliffe QLD. The exhaust is crap on the 80 series. Between the two shops here it's butchered, craked, broken mounts, incorrect clearances etc.

I need a shop that can do a custom exhaust that will be strong as i am doing a big outback trip in the middle of 08.

If anyone can point in the direction of someone that actually takes pride for what they let me know. It would be most appreiated.

Cheers

all look nice, some were powder coated (black) as well.

beaudesert exhausts cost alot of money, can someone tell me why their exhausts cost 500 or so more than getting one made at just a shop? not having a chop as the work they do is show quality but is it worth the extra costs?

The exhaust look factory, all one peice sections, flanged like a factory unit, no crumpled section or rinkles.

sorry, i didnt look at the prices properly, they arent more expensive by hundreds that price is fitted and or with mufflers and dump pipes etc.

fat pipes will do a mandrel 3 inch from turbo back (including dump and a flex joint) for $650-$800 depending on what you want at the tip or where to finish fully fitted to the car.

In how many pieces? The Beaudesert Exhasts are one piece except for the Muffler and flex joints. Not pieces butt welded together everywhere. I dont know of many shops in Brisbane that can do custom mandrel bends in one piece.

most of the performance cars on the north side of bris get les from fat pipes to do there work. they do it all and there work is better than anyone else around, from custom manifolds, dumps, air boxes, snorkels and intercoolers.

ive seen beadeserts work and it is neat but way over priced when you can get exectly what you want for your specific car for less else where

What sort of size/price did you get quoted?

I got a rough quote from A1 exhuast for a 3inch straight thru and they charge around $800 which seems like a good price.

That's steel not stainless, from memory I think stainless was around the $1200 to $1300 mark.

2.5 from them is around $500 or $600 again steel/straght thru.

I havn't seen prices for beaudesert exhuasts but I've seen their work at the Gold coast 4wdy show in may? 07. they had a big display, like 30 exhuasts on display, all good stuff.

They do a 5 inch F250 exhuast, they had that on display bloody huge thing lol :) as it's like 4 meters long.

Beaudesert did a 3 inch mandra system for me. It was a bitch of a job because I have an odd turbo and wanted it stop immeditely behind the rear wheel not out under the bumper (otherwise it would end up flat).

It cost just under a grand but it took them all day because they had to build it from scratch. With all the problems my vehicle gave them they stuck to the quoted price and it has been faultless in the twelve monts since (from the manufacture any how, driver is a different story). But even so it has performed extremely wheel and stood up to some crazy driving.

i saw 2 different quotes for 1400 fitted in painted stainless, where fat pipes quoted 1100 for an almost identicle system in stainless aswell. but i didnt realise the 1400 was fitted aswell. so i retract my statement especially after hearing they are actually bent up one piece. but they do still need mods sometimes like any pre fabbed item (ive seen first hand)

I just had a 3" mandrel from the turbo back custom made for my 80 series by the guys at Gun Performance on the Cnr of Webster / Hayward ST STAFFORD - 07 3856 2378 www.gunperformance.com.au

Anyway it cost me $850 drive in / drive out and I am very happy with the finish and fit. It is custom made and tig welded with flex pipe.

I looked at the Beudesert ones but they were more $$$ for just supplied than what it cost me fitted.

Anyway happy to recommend Gun Performance .

On a side note the performance difference is amazing.. no more flat spots and heaps more power
