Question for a mate.
He has a current model Prado and is installing a 2 inch suspension lift.

He is also put on some new rubber (cooper ST's)
(he has made up his mind on tyre selection)

He want's to know what the largest size tyre he can go with no rubbing.

The car is brand new and he does not want to cut mudflaps or the likes.

So these tyres need to fit perfect.
Options are
265/70/R17
275/70/R17
285/70/R17

Thanks
Burnsy.

Already Been there.

All that sight tells me is that youn can fit a 16 inch rim on if you grind the caliper.

He does not want to modify/change rim sizes, appart from the 2 inch lift.

My wifes 120 Prado is running a 2" bilstein lift with 265/70/17 Cooper STTs and doesnt scrub at all. It also hasnt made much difference to economy or take off etc, rides heaps better also. Not sure on the hardcover as ours doesnt have one.

285/70x17's will hit suspension components unless you get another offset wheel. you might be ok with a 275/70x17 but still might just touch under certain conditions.
