GQ Neoprene radial Arm bushes lots of road vibration ?

I have not owned the 1990 GQ Patrol for very long but on getting it roadworthy had a few bushes that needed replacing and so I got them all done with some after market Neoprene bushes .

Now I'm not sure if this is normal because I didn't drive it before the RWC and have not been in other Nissan Patrols of a similar nature.

There seems to be an extreme amount of road vibration even while on a sealed surface road the rattle and vibration is high to the point of almost being uncomfortable with little bumps on the road .

Is this typical of the suspension system in a Nissan Patrol GQ , what are the alternatives ? can some vibration dampening mounts be put between the chassis and the cabin ?

I have heard that the soft part of the springs collapse when heavily loaded and this can be the cause of the hard ride ?

thanks

This is a hard question to answer. Where do you start and where do you stop. Firstly I woud get rid of all the Neoprene bushes and get some genuine Nissan bushes unless you need castor correction bushes. There are rubber castor correction bushes available. (pm me if required) Get genuine Nissan bushes put in everywhere else where there is poly bushes.

Do you have a suspension lift?

Your shocks may not be helping, they may be too firm or too soft.

You coils may be too stiff or soft for the weight you carry on your Patrol. The last owner may have got extra heavy duty coils installed. I assume you have a LWB.

i need to ask the question - what kind of rubber are you running?

aggressive mud tread will vibrate.

What brand are the bushes? They vary in hardness between brands.

Neoprene?????

Why T.F. would you use bushes made out of wet-suit material??? Surely nolathane would be better... but I'll second the good quality rubber alternative.
