Hey All,

Im about to mount my laptop inmy GU 4.5 Petrol Patrol (not dual air bags).

I am debating buying a small touch screen or just using the lappy screen.

How have others mounted laptops etc in their patrols. I dont really want to spend hundreds of dollars buying some fancy mounting system!

Cheers

use a small tv wall mount and fix to dash make sure it's the adjustable arm so you can position it where you want can buy them from discount store for about $30

I took out the blank panel where the passenger side air bag would go on the up spec models and made a table that hooked under the pipe that runs past.
Easy to hook in and out and was quite sturdy.

I used this for 4 Navruns with out a hitch. Cant find any pics of it anywhere though.

I was looking into mounting a laptop into my troopy but gave up on the idea due to safety reasons. My thinking was in an accident the passenger is going to end up with the lappie well and truly embedded in their chest.

My other option would be to mount the lappie securely away and run a vga cable to a small (7") screen mounted on the dash, either that or a motorised DIN-sized screen.
