Are you replacing it with anything else?

Yeah.... a pulsar or similar probably. Were selling the Disco to but will get a an older bash around 4x4 (so at least I'm not completely 4x4 less!)

Would love to check out the 4x4 spot at Noarlunga if anyone has the details of how to get there I would appreciate directions... (probably best via pm)

Would that be the illegal one that a few of us went to a couple of years ago? I can only imagine how destroyed that area would be now....

I'd say it would be the same place. We went there before it got destroyed (from what I've heard since), I'd imagine you'd need a fairly serious 4WD to get in there now.

(Is it any wonder they keep closing places up to 4WD's in SA.... :bad-words: I saw Cox's Scrub before it got closed and dickheads were just being stupid carving the joint up.)

Yeah went down there last week. Last time I went there it was still open. What's worse is I have seen a few pics of 4x4 clubs chewing them up (and they took the photo's and boast about it at things like the 4x4 show)

If I ever win the lotto I want to open something similar to landcruiser park up in the hills

I've wanted to do that for years....

Unfortunatley a uni student budget doesn't catter for spending like that....

That might change once I start working for BHP Billiton at the end of the month... Only downside is im moving to Perth.

Never mind.

I'll pack the 2 Rockys with the swag and Engel and see what 4wding the west has to offer.

hi guys,

normally cruise the sierra section  and just browsed through by chance. just thought i'd say hi to some fellow SA 4wd'ers as there don't seem to be many of us any more with all the closures! reynella quarry was the real kicker

thought i'd let ya know there's a property at kuitpo that lets 4wds through for a fee of $5/car per day, and camping is $5/car per night too. Haven't been there yet but according to the mud map i have it has a mud basin (dust bowl?), some water crossings, ramp overs, winch points ... doesn't look huge, but has some variety.

contact is jamie & jo grundy on 8556 7020 between 6pm-8pm. no pets, no motorbikes. $50 tractor recovery fee. can send ya a mudmap if you want to pm me your email addy.

i'd love ya to let me know if you've got any other spots near adelaide that are decent, and pm me if you're heading out on a saturday ... don't mind recovering rockys

(ducks) :D

cheers,
Moph

Hi Moph, thanks for the info. That place sounds interesting and very cheap! :) Hopefully idiots don't go out and trash their place and get it closed.

I don't think my bog stock XL-7 would be too good out there  especially for any ramp over parts.... If I still had my Feroza I'd be interested in going out for a look.

Sounds good! We should get together for a trip down there for a look, maybe a BBQ

If its the one I know about its private property.

Popular with the SA 4wd association as a training ground. The association didn't encourage club day trips there tho' which I thought was a bit stupid. Think they like to keep it all to themselves to show off there training skills.

Not sure on the owners position/perspective. Suspect you'd get a warmer response tho. Going straight to the horse's mouth and all.

Good luck with it. Would definatley have been interested but to late for me now. Off to WA.

Cheers.

off to WA
