80 series and Hilux spindels?

Post by MissDrew »

Are they the same?
More so will a hilux one work on an 80?
Its a 93 GXL.

I know the bearings are the same, I measured to double check.
I know the inner wheel bearing seal is the same, Also measured to check.
The diameter of the spindel is the same write down to the thread for the nut.
The bolt pattern is the same.

But what is different is,
the depth of the inner seal seat. The 80 one comes out further from the housing.
The 80 one is over all (from brass bush at the back to the end of the thread) 10mm shorter then hilux.
The overall diameter of the spinel at the bolt holes is 8mm smaller on the 80.
