Body lift should be ok, shackle lift you need engineer's cert for them to be legal

Shackles

I'm 99.9% sure that extended shackles are illegal but whoever is doing your roadworthy might not pick up on them.

The body lift can be done but I think it may need to be engineered. Don't hold me to that but my engineer is passing mine when I finish my engine conversion.

When I brought my Hilux it had a rwc and its body lift at the time was 75mm X 4mm RHS with separate bolts for top and bottom and nothing in between. My mechanic was amazed it got through.

It just shows it depends on what mechanic and the mood they're in.

with or without engineers?? With or without the std tailshaft vibration they get when lifted?

IIRC the total cumulative lift cannot exceed 50mm ( unless engineered of course ), thats the sum of tyres, bodylift, and suspension lift

and one again IIRC - extended shackles are not legal in Vic.

Go to the VicRoads website and check the VSI's or you can post their engineer department a direct question, however they take a few days to respond usually.

current legalities in vic are 2" susp lift over std (50mm) 2" body lift over std (50mm) and you may increase tyre size 2" over the largest size on your tyre placard. so that means in a patrol you can legally run 33's lift ur susp and do a body lift

I think you mean:

If you consult an engineer, the maximum permissable height increase is 150mm SUBJECT TO A HANDLING TEST and in accordance with all the other stuff in the NCOP like 1/3 increase in compression travel etc etc.

Yes, that might mean it can all be from the tyres, if the engineer is satisfied that the car's handling, braking etc is not adversely effected.

All of the above information is false and should be disregarded.

The entire length of sill of the body is a structural section of the vehicle body. Altering the sill in any form can comprimise the integrity of the body strength in a collision. If the rear lower section of the quater panel was rusted it would be deemed un roadworthy, so if you remove it then technically it would be unroadworthy.
However, in this good state of ours there is no auditing, retesting or checking of licensed roadworthy inspectors or indeed the inspections therefore you will most likely find someone that will pass a GQ with a rear quarter cut as in reality we all know that cutting of the rear quarters is going to make jack site difference to the integrity of a full chassis'd vehicle.
Just before to have some mud flaps for when you're on the bitchy...

contradictory quotes for one to decipher. dont believe what you read on the net ! so you have one for yes, one for no. i got my info from the engineer that looked at my rig in bayswater, he was through a friend so maybe he just couldnt be fkd. either way thats what i was told.

I thought you could as long as you fit a rear bar which wraps around 1/4's. But then again i think i read that on a forum, which might have been this one :?

is there any possible way of getting around the bodylift and airbag situation in Victoria? Id love to put a 2inch bodylift on my 07 hilux, but cant because of airbags......is there maybe a loophole I could use?

The sensor are mounted on the body not the chassis so lifting the body will not stress the wiring one little bit, it and the sensor will remail as they were when stock.

then I can run 35's with my suspension that I already got on it.

If only..... :(

If you plan on 35's it's illegal anyway, why care about the airbags?
