how ya goin im having trouble figuring out what is up with my alternator,
when i turn my car on the volt meter reads 18volts straight away but soon after driving for say 2-4 kms it will drop back down to 12-13 where it should be, yesterday i replaced the battery because it was completely buggered, so i put the new one in and this morning and the car started fine but straight back up to bloody 18 volts ive been told it might be the regulator but if anyone has any idea's?

Sounds like the regulator, and it's going to kill your new battery if you don't fix it.

Reg on it's way out or dead. If its a petrol I have the standard alternator sitting in my garage you can have free (pick up). Save ya some money, I'm south Bris if ya interested pm me (it worked fine when I took it out, I just got too many lights and it couldnt keep up so now have a 140 amp Leese Neville in it)
