I installed a long range (belly) tank yesterday, but was supprised to find that their is no fuel return line from the fuel pump. Before the job I had many people telling me how to plum it in utilizing the return line. Was a return line used on any other models?

I think on 2H engines the leak off (fuel return) line from the injectors went back to the injection pump
I may be incorrect but this is my opinion

After having a look I can see the return line going back into the pump.
I read that return lines going back into the tank were meant to eliminate the fuel heating in the lines and vapourizing. Is this correct?
Thanks for the help.

Rotary pumps as used on later cruisers (1990 onwards) & all hiluxs have fuel return & the fuel is used to lubricate & cool the injection pumps
