Secondhand Bull bars

G'day,

I have the opportunity to purchase a second hand air bag compatible bull bar to suit my car from a wrecker. It is currently on a car but looks to be in ok condition. is it a bad idea to purchase one off a car that is in a wreckers. The host vehicle is damage free.

Is there anymore to installing it than bolting it on with the correct bolts. Or is it something that needs to be done proffessionally. The car has airbags, so will anything special have to be done with those or the bull bar to still have them work after the installation.

Thanks

check the crush tubes, they 'might' look like a can with consatina type ripples in it. if they are intact you should be right to just bolt on.

So the crush tubes are the part of the bull bar related to making sure the airbag will still work once the bar is fitted?

If the bullbar is undamaged then all is good and fitting is easy as.
