Hey guys .

well iv got a 91 sierra. and iv got a problem it just turned up and wasnt like i have been driving it allot or on a big trip where something could of broke. i just turned her on one day and the indicators where not working .

i have looked through all the fuses and found the fuse that keeps blowing.

iv changed the fuuse around 3 times now and within 1 minute its blown again.

i was told to look through the wires near the lights indicators etc. but i cannot see anyhting. there was 1 wire that was hanging down but i found where that was ment to go ( i think) and i placed the wire around the thread of the screw that holds the connector on. so i think that would of been ok ???

any ideas guys ???

ps i can take a pic of the connector im talking about if you need it.

Cheers guys looking forward to your responses.

was it an earth wire you put around the screw ?
check the back of the car to see if any wires are earthing out
i had the same thing and found it to be every time i touched the brake pedal the wire would earth out and blow the fuse. the rear wiring falls apart pretty easy

You're looking for broken wires touching metal. Try undoing that wire you earthed and just tape it up, it may not be an earth. If it fixes the problem then trace that wire to see what it should operate. The whole wiring setup in the back end is crap from factory. Too many loose wires and self-tapping screw earths.

what he said. alot of the time the highbeam light will come on in the dash when something earths out or when you put your foot on the brake

How'd you go Vicelore?
Usually it's only black wires that go to earth.
If you see any others touching the body or chassis that could be your problem.
Check the trailer plug too.. if you have one.

maybe look at the flasher can/relay? that could be earthing or a wire hanging loose off that which is blowing your fuse..

not sure where they are located on these car's. probably under the dash.
