Hi all,

As above.. Just put a gauge in and at about 10psi it makes a vibrating whistle sound.. Can tell if its actually waste gating at 10 psi or if its leaking..

Prob a stupid question but is this normal??

It came with a little restrictor plug that fitted into the pipe, which I used, should I remove that maybe??

Ideas please :D

Fit a small restrictor to the line to dampen out the manifold pulsations, like 1.0 mm.

Like I said I fitted the restrictor that came with it.. I was asking if I should remove it..

Might try it in the morning and see how it goes..

I had the same prob with a new boost gauge. didnt stop doing it until I restricted the line to 1mm diameter hole, Still vibrates occasionally if Im accelerating hard than back off the throttle fully.

As an update.. At 80-110kph the sound disappears, even at 10psi..

When going slower and revving quickly it makes a weird noise..

Hmmmmmmmmm :?

ive heard - not tested! that you can put a flow limiter in from a fish tank - the adjustable wheel kind and turn it down till it makes no noise - also doesnt affect the reading.

worth a go - couple of bucks at big w
