Did it stop working when you were driving it or did you have trouble starting it again?

Would it try to start?

Just try and explain exactly what happened and then someone else will help.

It stopped working when I was driving. There was no problem in starting it after 20 minutes.

Its a Cherokee of 1994 with 236,000 miles, with the inline 6 cyl 4.0 .

I am probably wrong about this but sometimes it can be just loose therefore you just clean it and put it back together.

My cousin has also encountered the same problem with his Jeep but the website were really helpful. We also did just remove the neutral safety switch, clean it and placed it back. After that, the problem was solved. Thank you guys for this post. It really saves us some money plus new knowledge.

I rekon the previous owner now looks like the fool. I bet that's why he sold it, and no mechanic could figure it out.
